Sulfur

Info: Sulfur is polymorphic mineral, found in many different shapes. On 119 degrees by celsium sulfur liquidates. In nature sulfur is found mostly in rombic form. Crystals of sulfur are in bypiramidal shape. In most deposits sulfur is occasionaly found in form of little grains. Clear sulfur have typical sulfur yellow colour, it can be found in other colours when mixed with other elements.

How to recognize: Sulfur is light and fragile. It is not very good heat conductor. Human heat can cause a destruction in the fragile crystal form of the sulfur. When burned, sulfur emits the very dangerous sulfur dioxide.

Found: Very famous deposits of sulfur are found in Texas and Lousiana (USA), in Sicily (Italy), in Japan and in Indonesia.
