Scapolite

Info: Scapolite is hard mixture of marialite and meionite. Scapolite often creates beautiful prismatic crystals with soft colors. Yellow, purple, blue, green and orange scapolites are known. Sometimes it can have the cat’s eye effect.
 
How to recognize: Scapolite is fluorescent mineral, emitting strong orange-yellow glow under UV-light.

Found: Scapolite was found in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and USA. Scapolites used in jewelry were found in Madagascar, Tanzania and Brazil.

Used for: Scapolite is widely used in jewelry.
